Select Board Chair Doug Lucente, speaking at the February 27 retirement event, estimated Barry had attended roughly 550 board meetings since her 2014 election, serving four three-year terms. Barry, who will remain as chair of the Lex 250 commission with 51 days until the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington, told the crowd she plans no further formal role in town government: "There is nothing planned for me in relationship to town government at this time." The Department of Public Works named a snow plow "the Susie B" in her honor.
