Lexington Sets Slate Roof Replacement for Community Center

DATELINE — LEXINGTON

Lexington's Community Center will get a new slate roof in the coming weeks, the town announced Friday, as non-emergency phone lines at three town buildings came back online overnight after an outage.

TOWN HALL

The town said Friday afternoon that the slate roof at the Community Center will be replaced in the coming weeks. The News Flash announcement did not include a cost estimate or say whether the building will stay open to the public during the work.

Separately, the town confirmed non-emergency phone lines at the Public Services Building, the Fire Department and the Police Department were restored overnight after an unspecified issue had knocked them offline. Officials thanked residents for their patience while the problem was resolved.
