Select Board Seeks Candidates for Trustees of Public Trusts Vacancy

With the Independence Day weekend behind it, Lexington opened the week Monday with a call for civic service: the Select Board is seeking residents to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Trustees of the Public Trusts, the body that administers charitable funds held in the town's name.

The Select Board posted notice July 6 inviting interested and qualified candidates to apply for the upcoming vacancy on the Trustees of the Public Trusts. The board-appointed body oversees charitable trust funds entrusted to Lexington for the benefit of its residents. Residents interested in serving can review the full opportunity at lexingtonma.gov.

COMING UP

Two public meetings open the week Tuesday, July 7: the Minuteman High School Committee convenes and the Noise Advisory Committee meets in a hybrid session. A monthly Caregiver Support Group is also scheduled July 7. The Appropriation Committee holds a remote meeting Wednesday, July 8. Thursday, July 9, brings a cluster of boards — the Tree Committee, Water and Sewer Abatement Board, Lexington Housing Authority, and Lexington Center Committee — plus the School Committee Policy Subcommittee and a Board of Appeals remote public hearing on 12 Blossomcrest Road. Also on July 9, the town events calendar lists a community program: "AI — What It Is and How to Use It."
