Lexington Conservation Board Issues Enforcement Order Over Unauthorized Bedford Street Work
Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 19, 2026
Lexington Conservation Commission orders cleanup after unauthorized work at 231 Bedford Street. The board voted unanimously to require an engineered plan and stormwater calculations after owner Odilon Rodriguez and a co-owner identified only as Paula replaced pervious walkway pavers with cemented material and added stairs and a patio beyond an approved paving project. Commissioner Ruth said it "troubles" her that the work continued after staff ordered a stop.
Separately, the board pressed Eversource Energy on a stormwater waiver request for seven concrete transformer pads at its Lillian Road substation, with the chairman calling himself "pretty skeptical," and continued review of a 15-unit Wood Street development after Minute Man National Historical Park objected to a proposed trail connection crossing park land. The commission also issued enforcement orders advancing MWRA-funded wetland restoration along Maple Street and closed hearings on three house-reconstruction projects.
