Lexington Conservation Commission issues two enforcement orders and confronts an MWRA contractor over continued work after a stop-work order. Commissioners voted 7-0 to order restoration at 237 Bedford Street, where a deck was found roughly eight feet longer than approved, and at 25 Maple Street, where an excavator drove through a delineated wetland and onto town conservation land near Joyce Miller Meadow. Commissioner Tom Olivier said he found MWRA contractor RJV Construction had kept pumping water to a catch basin "without any follow-up with conservation after we issued a cease and desist" on a Maple Street water-line project; MWRA's Alejandro Alvarez apologized, saying "we just want to make it right." Separately, the panel voted 7-0 to let 58 Valleyfield Street homeowners raise a new basement's floor elevation to 208.9 after a soil evaluator's groundwater call was challenged; homeowner Megan McLaughlin said, "We've agreed to everything you've asked for." Three other hearings were continued to August 18.
