Lexington Select Board delays vote on fast-tracked fall zoning request amid split testimony. Planning Board Chairman Creech said a 3-2 board vote sent SRD bylaw amendments, covering historic preservation, dwelling size and site coverage, toward the November 9 special town meeting, but members Jill I. Hai and Vineeta A.
Kumar worried the timeline leaves too little room for public input; a final decision comes October 5. Assistant Town Manager Carolyn Koznoff presented a proposed 2.8 percent combined water and sewer rate increase for fiscal 2027, which would raise the average bill $30.80, and said the water fund's $4.48 million in retained earnings is being held for roughly $8 million in coming capital projects.
