LEXINGTON — July 15, 2026 — Lexington Planning Board approves 49-unit Clark Street condo project but splits on parking waivers. The board voted 4-0-1 July 15 to approve a major site plan review for a four-story, 49-unit mixed-use condominium at 16 Clark Street, submitted by North Shore Residential Development and reviewed under the town's 2023 MBTA Communities multifamily overlay bylaw. A special permit to allow temporary snow storage in three surface parking spaces — which would have preserved two commercial spots — failed 3-2, with Chair Bob Creech, Vice Chair Melanie Thompson, and Member Michael Schaumbacher in favor and Clerk Tina McBride and Member Lynn Jensen opposed; because a special permit requires four votes, the measure did not pass. The board then approved a parking waiver granting relief from the 19-space requirement for medical office or restaurant use, accepting 15 on-site commercial spaces — a six-space shortfall — on a 3-1-1 vote.
