Lexington Urges Residents to Prevent Coyote Conflicts

DATELINE — LEXINGTON Lexington issued new guidance this week urging residents to help the community safely coexist with local wildlife by taking simple steps to prevent conflicts with coyotes. The advisory arrived as other outlets followed up on Friday's investigation at Grace Chapel and a Lexington biotechnology company reported its latest quarterly results.

TOWN HALL

The Town posted new guidance this week on preventing coyote conflicts, encouraging residents to set boundaries with the animals through simple behavior changes as part of an effort to help the community safely coexist with local wildlife.

The Town also introduced LexSortSmart, a new tool meant to give residents a single place to find information on waste collection and disposal rules.

SCHOOLS

The School Committee's Policy Subcommittee has a meeting scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, according to the town calendar.
