LEXINGTON — The Lexington Affordable Housing Trust voted to raise rent limits in its pilot rental assistance program by $10 per bedroom size, a change officials said would make four of five previously rejected applicants newly eligible. Program administrator Lisa, of Metro West Collaborative Development, told trustees eight households have been approved so far, with the program running near 60 percent of its $50,000 first-quarter budget. Trustee Tiffany Payne backed the change but said "I just don't want it to overcomplicate things." The trust also reviewed proposed Planning Board zoning amendments that trustee Bill Erickson warned could make affordable redevelopment "non-competitive with a typical McMansion development," and approved its draft fiscal 2026 annual Town Report, due September 14, on a 4-0 vote.
